"A day to remember for the rest of my life. After spotting spouts in the distance, we came upon a group of 3 juvenile orcas. They playfully approached the boat several times, all the while slowly guiding us further out to sea. They spyhopped again and again, and it really felt as if they were saying “are you coming or NOT?!” The juveniles led us right to the rest of their pod. There were four more orcas including, to our immense surprise, a newborn baby! The pod brought the calf over to the boat, circling us again and again. Maybe proud to show off their newest family member? Call me crazy, but I think mama was teaching her youngster what a boat was. An absolute gift from the ocean".
